Estado Extractivista y Nación Petrolera’, the result of his PhD studies, where he presents a critical historical account of Chavismo regarding labor, agrarian, gender, settler-colonial and international relations issues. Over a hundred workers mobilized in downtown Caracas against Maduro government’s anti-worker policies.
An alliance of trade unions and political and union currents was recently formed to struggle for workers’ rights, independently the Opposition headed by Guaidó. Its objectives are to confront the brutal anti-worker policies of the Maduro Government and to repudiate imperialist interference.
More than a hundred union leaders and activists came together at the Central University of Venezuela to launch a new independent workers' front.
Next June will mark 8 years since political prisoner Rodney Alvarez, worker and unionist, is behind bars without trial in Venezuela. He is little known abroad since media attention has focused on high profile prisoners.
